It is my goal to find a book for every student. I believe students think they don’t like reading until they find the book that truly interests them. Students who read more, even if it is fun fictional books, perform better on standardized tests.
I have very lofty goals for my students. Students have a goal of reading 30 books for the entire year. Students will have time for reading in class and be required to read at home. In addition, you will meet with me for a conference several times nine weeks during Independent reading.Students need to build their reading muscles. Students become better stronger readers by reading.
